Aldrin Discovers 2 Basement Conductive Trends on the Triple M Property Adjacent to Patterson Lake
June 18, 2013 — VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA (Source: Marketwired) — Aldrin Resource Corp. (“Aldrin”) (TSX VENTURE:ALN) is very pleased to provide an update on the encouraging conductive anomalies detected by the ongoing airborne geophysical survey over the Triple M Property (“Property”).
The conductive anomalies were detected over Aldrin’s Triple M Property by the Geotech VTEM helicopter-borne magnetic and electromagnetic (EM) survey now being flown. Further geophysical analysis interprets the anomalies as two parallel basement conductive trends, analogous to conductors associated with Alpha Minerals and Fission Uranium’s adjacent Patterson Lake discovery, based on available images (see Alpha Minerals Inc’s 43-101 technical report on www.sedar.com). The conductive trends on the Triple M Property parallel the mineralized Patterson Lake conductors and fault. One of Triple M Property’s conductive trends is 3.5 km length, and the other of 2 kms. Aldrin’s 3.5 km conductor trend closely parallels a magnetic linear suggesting a basement fault, and has localized anomalous conductivity along the entire trend. The 2 km conductor trend has sharp magnetic contacts flanking the strong conductive centre. Similar features are associated with the Patterson Lake discovery, as well as most high-grade uranium mineralization from the Athabasca Basin.
Increased resolution provided by the infill lines now being flown will help locate drill collars for drilling planned for January, 2014.
Aldrin announced commencement of this survey in a news release dated May 28, 2013, and their decision to add infill lines to increase resolution of the conductive anomalies in a news release dated June 12, 2013.
Aldrin’s Triple M Uranium Property is located adjacent to the recent high-grade uranium discovery by Fission Uranium Corp./Alpha Minerals Inc. in the Patterson Lake area, southwest Athabasca Basin region of northern Saskatchewan. The property consists of 6 claim blocks totalling 12,001 ha and is 9 km south to 11 km west of the Patterson Lake discovery.
Aldrin’s CEO Johnathan More states, “We continue to be very excited by the progress we are making towards drill targets on the Triple M Property. We will continue to refine our drill targets and look forward to testing them beginning by January 2014.”
