Canada Strategic Metals Intersects Multiple Wide Mineralized Zones by Drilling at Sakami Gold Project
January 22, 2014 (Source: Marketwired) — Canada Strategic Metals Inc. (“Canada Strategic Metals” or “the Company”) (TSX VENTURE:CJC)(FRANKFURT:YXEN)(OTCBB:CJCFF) and Matamec Explorations Inc. (TSX VENTURE:MAT)(OTCQX:MHREF) are pleased to announce the completion of the latest drilling campaign on the Sakami Gold project. Nine drillholes have been completed during the program for a total of 1,605 meters.
The objective of the campaign was to validate and extend the historical zone funded by Matamec Explorations between 2000 and 2004 on La Pointe area. A complete table of the drillhole collar location is present below.
Every drillhole performed during the latest campaign encountered mineralized intersection ranging from a half meter (0.5 meter) up to 27.95 meters. The mineralized intersection consisted of two types (two different zones):
- Zone 26: Sulfidic Iron formation containing 1 to 15% pyrrotite-pyrite with trace of arsnopyrite
- Zone 25: Silicified biotite paragneiss containing 1 to 10% arsnopyrite-pyrite ± pyrrotite
A total of 643 samples have been sent to the lab for gold analysis. The company has already started to receive and compile results. As soon as the company will complete the interpretation, results will be released. A full table of the mineralized intersections of the recent campaign and historical results are below.

The 2013 drilling program was managed by Consul-Teck Exploration of Val-d’Or, Quebec who designed the drilling campaign, supervised the program and logged and sampled the core.
Consul-Teck Exploration implemented QA/QC procedures to ensure best practices in sampling and analysis of the core samples. The drill core was logged and then split, with one-half sent for assay and the other retained in the core box as a witness sample. Duplicates, standards and blanks were inserted regularly into the sample stream.
The samples were delivered, in secure tagged bags, directly to the analytical facility for analysis; in this case Bourlamaque Ltee laboratory facility in Val-d’Or (Quebec). The samples are weighed and identified prior to sample preparation. All samples are analysed by fire assay with AA finish on a 30g sample (0.01-10 ppm Au), with a gravimetric finish for assays over 10 ppm Au.
