IntelReport-Ellis-MartinThe following is an IntelRadio news report hosted by Ellis Martin with David Vinokurov of Stans Energy Corp. and is a special feature of InvestorIntel.

Ellis Martin: Today, I am speaking with David Vinokurov, Vice President of Corporate Development for Stans Energy Corp. trading on the TSX Venture Exchange as HRE and in the US on the OTCQX as HREEF. Stans Energy is a resource development company focused on producing heavy rare earth properties in areas of the former Soviet Union. David, welcome to the program.

David Vinokurov: Pleasure to be here. Pleasure to be speaking with you Ellis.

Ellis Martin: Stans’ trading was recently halted due to some very exciting news and here it is: Stans Energy was approved as a participant in the Skolkovo Government Grant Program. Would you tell our listeners exactly what this means?

David Vinokurov: Yes. We just recently formed a new subsidiary that’s an approved resident company of the Skolkovo initiative. Basically we can apply for grants to develop rare earth processing and downstream technologies. We can use these grants to further the development of any projects that we have or we’re thinking of applying. It’s a great step for the company. It’s a source of non-dilutive financing and we’re really proud to be able to participate in the program.

Ellis Martin: Through the Skolkovo Foundation, Stans is now able to apply for government grants of up to 100 million RUB, which approximately $2.85 million dollars U.S., for individual technical projects. Now David, would you tell us more about the Skolkovo Foundation and how your company is tied to this mandate for individual technical projects?

David Vinokurov: Sure, certainly. The main applications of rare earths today is for high-technology industry, whether it’s for electric magnets, electronics or any a number of other uses. This foundation supports high-technology companies. At the end of the day these companies that are developing these technologies would be relying on the types elements that we want to produce. If we’re able to produce those elements in a more efficient way, we’re developing new technologies to exploit other types of deposits. Then the full downstream applications chain of companies will ultimately benefit from that as well. That’s why we’re a great fit for this type of program and we’re really excited to start apply for grants.

Ellis Martin: And you’ve been working on this for a long time, haven’t you?

David Vinokurov: Oh yes. We’ve been working on this for quite some time. I’m sure all your listeners are aware of this, quite a lot of bureaucracy here in this part of the world. The recent addition of Mr. Vadim Veshchezerov to our board of directors was a great success to the company because he helping us navigate this process going well back over a year. With the addition of him to the board and the formation of the subsidiary in Skolkovo, we can see the direction that the company is going in now. I just wanted to add that Mr. Veshchezerov is the investment director for RUSNANO, which is another Russian government corporation. It’s a multibillion dollar government backed fund that, (inaudible) venture capital fund, that invests in companies that develop technologies in nanotechnologies and other high-technology fields.

    Always like to hear news about Stans. This “radio” delivery method is my first encounter and I find it an interesting development for II. I prefer the video format when available, but will take audio as a good second option.

    Thank you Sunnyvale for your positive feedback, it is appreciated. There are times when we have breaking news such as the above, whereby video simply takes too long — and we needed another way to capture the story. David was located in Moscow when this interview took place and a Skype interview was going to be inconsistent and marred with technical problems. Ellis Martin has been a well known radio host on the equities market for several decades and I was personally quite delighted when he agreed to try and build IntelRadio with InvestorIntel. Thanks again for listening.

    Nothing to see here…move on. The investment world gave Stans Energy a collective YAAAAAAWWWWWNNNNN regarding this “breaking news.”

    Big deal.

    What really matters for Stans Energy is (a) booking on their financials the $118M judgment against the government of Kyrgyzstan, and (b) collecting that $118M.

    Anything other than collecting the $118M means nothing to investors.

    Dear Alex and David;

    The Skolkovo Government Grant Program Approval is far from a yawn as you described. The Skolkovo program is one of the most reputable of its type in the world — and it means that they can access significant capital, or I deem $100 million to be significant. Australia and Canada are also tremendous grant sources, which is why announcements from companies in Quebec that secure grant approvals always gets an eye raise from our editorial team. Just an FYI, but this is — breaking news.

    Yes news but did it warant a halt to trading ? Many of us of have been invested in stans for the past three years we would expect a halt for something more substantial like the question over our license which has put the company and us share holders in a state of limbo , the news was positive but for me did not deserve a halt on the stock .
