H2O Innovation receives another award for their global impact on water purification
H2O Innovation Inc. (TSXV: HEO | OTCQX: HEOFF) announced that it has won the WateReuse Equipment/Manufacturer of the Year Award by the WateReuse Association, at the 31st Annual WateReuse Symposium, in Tampa (Florida), on August 13, 2016. The award was presented to H2O Innovation Inc. the to highlight its work in the water reuse and desalination industry in recognition of H2O’s global impact on the water purification and conservation.
This award recognizes the contribution made by the Corporation to the water reuse and desalination field and underlines its exceptional commitment to it. “H2O Innovation has demonstrated continued dedication to the water reuse community, and the WateReuse Association gratefully acknowledges the contributions it has made”, stated Melissa Meeker, Executive Director for the WateReuse Association. Winners of each category were announced during the Awards Luncheon at the 31st Annual WateReuse Symposium, in Tampa, Florida, on September 13, 2016.
Since its inception 20 years ago, H2O Innovation has installed several industrial and municipal scale reverse osmosis and ultrafiltration/microfiltration systems for water reuse applications in the United States, and continues to be a leader in the market.
The WateReuse Association is a not-for-profit trade association, which supports water utilities, businesses, industrial and commercial enterprises as well as not-for-profit organizations and associations. It is not the first time that H2O Innovation Inc. receives international recognition for its technology. Earlier in the year H2O Innovation Inc received the Water Technology Company of the Year Award at the 2016 Global Water Awards, which took place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Former president of Mexico (2006-2012) chaired the event as the Chairman of the Global Commission on the Economy and Climate.
H2O Innovation bested 3 other nominees: GE Water and Process technologies—the water and fluid processing division of General Electric (NYSE: GE); IDE Technologies, an Israeli EPC contractor and developer of desalination plants with 50 years in the desalination business; and, SUEZ, a global water and waste management group.
