Monsanto Board Approves Dividend of 43 Cents Per Share
June 6, 2014 (Source: Businesswire) — Monsanto Company (NYSE: MON) announced that its Board of Directors, at a regularly scheduled meeting held today, declared a quarterly dividend on its common stock of 43 cents per share. The dividend is payable on July 25, 2014 to shareowners of record on July 3, 2014. It relates to the third quarter of the company’s 2014 fiscal year.
“Quarterly dividends are an important component of Monsanto’s strategy in returning value to our shareowners,” said Pierre Courduroux, Monsanto chief financial officer. “We will continue to use our cash position to generate shareholder value through dividends as well as share repurchases and strategic investments in our business.”
