H2O Innovation gains global recognition with shortlist nomination as Water Company of the Year
H2O Innovation Inc. (TSXV: HEO | OTCQX:HEOFF) has been nominated by Global Water Intelligence (GWI) as one of four shortlisted entries for the Water Company of the Year Award at the Global Water Awards 2016, proving the company’s global recognition.
GWI is inviting online voting and the winner will be disclosed at an award ceremony and presented by Felipe Calderon, President of Mexico from 2006-2012 and chairperson of the Global Commission on the Economy and Climate at a special ceremony held in Abu Dhabi at the same venue of the Global Water Summit 2016.
In 2015 H2O innovation grew revenues by 40% from its outstanding project delivery.
In January 2016 H2O Innovation commissioned the Clifton UF water treatment plant in Colorado—the first commercial installation using the company’s FiberFlex modules and subsequently received 15 new orders for the system. Together with advancing its core membrane business it made significant progress toward the development of smart solutions for plant operations.
The Clifton plant is H2O Innovation’s largest UF project till date and will be treating settled or feed water from the Colorado River and the Grand Valley Canal. H2O Innovation was contracted to design, manufacture, and commission eight identical UF units at the plant, which is expected to produce 45,400m³of potable water per day, enough to support a community of 9000 inhabitants per OECD consumption data.
FiberFlex racks offer advantages of interchangeability and can support several types of UF modules – similar to spiral wound membrane systems. Changing module suppliers for a facility can be easier with the open-platform since it allows end users to competitively bid for suppliers without having to be bothered about costly infrastructure retrofits required for single-module, proprietary UF designs.
