Elcora Resources’ Troy Grant on leading the graphite production race
July 13, 2015 — InvestorIntel Publisher Tracy Weslosky speaks with Troy Grant, President and CEO for Elcora Resources Corp. (TSXV: ERA) about their graphite production timeline and newly completed processing facility. They also discuss Elcora’s high grade Sri Lankan graphite deposit and the obvious graphene production advantages, as well as the drilling program planned towards the completion of their NI 43-101.
Tracy Weslosky: Good afternoon Troy — you’ve just announced an update on your processing facility. Can you give us a bit of an update?
Troy Grant: Yes. We’re looking to complete the construction at the end of June. The processing mill itself is designed to have an output of 2,500 to 5,000 tons per annum of 99% product.
Tracy Weslosky: So, you have a stockpile and you’re going to be processing this month?
Troy Grant: Yes. Beginning of the third quarter we’re looking to put the stockpile through the mill.

Tracy Weslosky: So now I can understand why Christopher Ecclestone has you leading the race for graphite production. Tell us a little bit more about what your graphite production timeline is.
Troy Grant: Currently we’re producing, you know, anywhere from a ton to two tons a day of production. We’re looking to get back to the stage of production in the early 1970s when it was producing 18,000 tons a year. Our goal was to get it to that range. That’s where we’re at right now.
Tracy Weslosky: Of course, if you don’t know about Elcora, I’m going to make you back up just a little bit and explain to some of our newcomers in the audience about what kind of amazing graphite you have and a little bit more about Elcora.
Troy Grant: Yes. With Elcora we focused on the Sri Lankan graphite because we believe it’s one of the top precursor graphite to graphene in the world. Last year Dr. Ian Flint, a huge part of Elcora’s team, moved over to Sri Lanka to oversee the construction and the development of the processing facilities, which as I said, will be done at the end of June.
Tracy Weslosky: So, what should we as shareholders anticipate in say the next couple of quarters?
Troy Grant: We’ll start coming out with some large announcements here in terms of the mine development. We’ve stepped up the drill program currently as we know the market wants to see a 43-101 report so the drill program will hopefully get us there very quickly.
Tracy Weslosky: While I have you here in our offices what I’d really like to ask you is, what happened with the announcement about becoming Graphene Corp. Some of us happen to love that name.
Troy Grant: Yeah. What we did, like, AGM last October, at the same time we got our shareholder approval to change the name at any time after that. Since then we’ve done a lot of research into the graphene side of things and looking into that market and getting a clear direction on what our strategy would be. Once we announce that strategy we’ll then choose a time to switch our name over to Graphene Corp….to access the complete interview, click here
