Elcora outlines its strategy to become a world graphene leader
June 15, 2016 — Ian Flint, Chief operating Officer of Elcora Advanced Materials Corp (TSXV: ERA | OTCQB: ECORF | FRANKFURT: ELM) presented at the 5th Annual Cleantech and Technology Metals Summit held recently in Toronto.
Founded in 2011, Elcora is a vertically integrated graphite and graphene company. The company mines, processes, refines graphite, and targets high-end graphite markets including li-ion batteries and graphene research and development. As part of the vertical integration strategy, Elcora has secured, as an Elcora mine, the premier graphene precursor graphite in the Ragedara mine in Sri Lanka and is finalizing mining or processing rights to other premium locations. Elcora has developed processes to refine graphite with much higher yield of graphene.
In his presentation, Ian Flint
- Explains the rationale behind controlling the whole supply chain from mine to anodes.
- Details how the money is not made in the mining or the processing, but in the final product.
- Reports that Elcora is now producing the world’s highest quality graphene.
- Explains how Elcora is working to bypass some of the stages of processing.
