About Stephen Lautens

Stephen Lautens has a wide range of experience in communications, investor relations and business development as part of executive management teams of both private and public companies. He has a law degree from Queen’s University, Kingston. He was VP Corporate Affairs for Angkor Resources Corp., a TSX-V listed gold and oil & gas exploration company operating in Cambodia. For nine years he was VP Corporate Communications of Inter-Citic Minerals Inc., a TSX-listed gold exploration company with a large project in western China, before it was sold in a friendly takeover to a major Chinese mining company. Prior to that, Stephen was Executive VP of a company developing a B2B technology project in China. He also served as VP Business Development of The Workflow Automation Corporation, a private Canadian software company sold to BEA Systems Inc. (now Oracle). Stephen is a lawyer and had his own law practice in Toronto for ten years. He is a Governor of the National Newspaper Awards and has served as president of a number of not-for-profit organizations, including terms as president of The National Club and The Ontario Club. He is founder of The Noble Hearts Foundation, a Canadian charity, and international head of The Order of Saint Joachim, an order of chivalry founded in 1755. Stephen is the author of numerous articles and wrote a weekly column for major newspapers for almost 20 years, and is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for significant service to Canada.
